Angela & Jon were married earlier this summer in one of Kent’s most unique wedding venues; Boughton Monchelsea Place. In fact this isn’t really a venue but a beautiful home which is generously shared for special occasions and often features in fashion shoots and films. Weddings are only scheduled to run for another year at this stunning home so if this venue appeals to you I would get in touch quickly!
Another aspect of Angela & Jon’s day which I really loved was the abundance of floral designs and the blending of pretty lilacs and purples for the bridal party. Their creative flair and thoughtful touches were also on display at Oakwood House; the location for the evening party which got off to a spectacular start with a Swing band. Angela & Jon are truly the warmest, most appreciative and kind people you could hope to meet and their day was absolutely glorious… I’m so grateful to them for letting me share their lovely pictures here. Thank you Angela & Jon!!
Well, there are a lot of WOW! flowers in this post, so I may as well start by introducing the incredible florist behind the creations; Gayle from Bloomingayles
Angela’s two bridesmaids were fantastic! From ensuring the dress was just perfect to some final lip gloss touches! Angela’s beautiful hair design was by Collette Preston Reeves ‘I do..’ with perfect make up by Gemma Pass
Jon was a very busy man when I found him(!) making sure everything was ‘just so’ for Angela’s entrance to the ceremony. Loved this fabulous blend of colours..
Even the ceremony chairs looked amazing!
Soft candlelight created the perfect ambience and the readings were just beautiful…
And one very happy groom indeed, a special moment together whilst signing the register…
and of course sharing a few toasts!
Angela & Jon’s portrait time was a lot of fun, starting with details and then heading to the beautifully kept gardens…
And a few indoor portraits as well…
Angela & Jon’s special touches along with the candelabras and deep red walls created a romantic and intimate feel for the wedding breakfast…
Following the wedding breakfast, as Angela & Jon prepared for their departure to Oakwood House we captured this pretty portrait with the beautiful view of the Boughton Monchelsea valley behind..
I love this picture below, I always think of Angela & Jon like this, happy and enjoying every moment
Arriving at Oakwood House and guests were greeted with drinks, a programme of events(!) and lots of twinkling lights… a great start to the evening…
I always try to capture some bride and groom evening portraits, such a perfect way to end the day and these ‘LOVE’ signs from Apollo Funk were just great!
and starting the evening party with music from Young Swing Things– just perfect!!..
