Amy & Nick’s day went by in a whirlwind! Fun from beginning to end, Amy & Nick were the kind of people that enjoy every moment of life. It became apparent to me during their speeches just how much time they had spent doing adventurous activities and exploring the planet! It seemed fitting then that their portrait time was spent with Amy’s favourite and beloved animals- beautiful giraffes! Such a pleasure and an honour to be their photographer.

I love to photograph at Port Lympne, not just because of the breathtaking surroundings, sumptuous furnishings and fantastic staff (as if that wasn’t enough!) but it is so wonderful to be close to the animal conservation work at the heart of this venue. Thank Amy & Nick so much for sharing, enjoy the rest of your honeymoon in Costa Rica!! xx

Brides beautiful dress by Maggie Sottero, absolutely exquisite! And stunning flowers throughout wedding by Dream of Flowers.

It was in fact not easy to get Amy to do any posey photos(!) but I am so glad we did a few, stunning bride!!

I must mention at this stage and thank the wonderful YourToastMasters that made the day run extra smoothly! It was such a special feeling when everything was in place for Amy & Nick to say their vows against this most beautiful backdrop at Port Lympne.

Time to celebrate!!

And now for the Giraffe Encounter experience. The silence and then the sound of the giraffes munching on the leaves(!) can’t be conveyed in these pictures of course, but this was so wonderful!

Gorgeous stationery from InkiPinki Weddings. It was most fitting that Amy & Nick named their reception tables after all of the special places they have visited with a nod to their honeymoon trip to Costa Rica 🙂

And of course, giraffe cake toppers! Cake made by a very talented family member.

The speeches were absolutely fabulous, and yes, there were a few revelations from the best man’s speech too!

The evening time was spent on the Port Lympne Safari experience which all of the wedding party enjoyed. I loved also on our return the ‘fight’ to capture the bouquet after the throw, one friend was very pleased just to even have a leaf or two! More engagements on the way 🙂

A final few evening portraits, Port Lympne truly has so many special places for wedding portraits.

And time to party!
