As my old blog address will vanish someday soon(!) I thought it would be a great idea to share some past weddings from different venues that will hopefully give future bride and grooms some ideas on choosing locations, beautiful dress designs and places to source pretty and interesting details.
Jade & David’s wedding last summer got off to a beautiful start. There was not a cloud in the sky as the morning dawned across London and the excitement for the upcoming day could be felt in every conversation and every smile shared. Jade & David were getting ready to be married at St Paul’s Cathedral.
The celebrations followed alongside the banks of the Thames at The Swan Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Jade explained to me that this part of London was an area that they know very well; the location of so many of their first dates and now ten years later to be the place where they spent their first day as husband and wife. Jade & David’s priority throughout their planning was the comfort of their guests and the pleasure in everyone being together. Threaded through their day, Jade’s natural flair for design and beautiful pieces was evident in every way from her stunning wedding dress through to the pretty flickering candle light that ushered in the evening. It is already feeling like a dream(!) to look back at their beautiful pictures, thank you Jade & David for such a wonderful and memorable day.
The beautiful stationary throughout the day was the creation of the very aptly named Simply Stunning Invitations
Photography is very restricted at St Paul’s but I love this picture through the door panels to the OBE Chapel and Jade & David leaving as newlyweds
In case you are wondering (it was one of my first questions!) Jade’s incredible dress was from Clinton Lotter at Blackburn Bridal
A rare moment, St Paul’s steps completely clear!
Think the picture below is in one of my faves followed by celebrations at the stunning Swan-Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre
And time to party!
And the final light of the day portraits…
Such a perfect ending to the most perfect day! Jade had told me some months after her wedding day that she still missed that day so much, going over these pictures again a year later I can completely understand why she might still feel this way…congratulations once again Jade & David and Happy Anniversary! xxx
